We discovered this motley crew when Yann (the bass player) subbed in another of our favourite local bands, The Hot House Combo last year. Five musicians with wide-ranging individual backgrounds in classical music, traditional jazz, rock, blues, country, ragtime and roots, pulled together by the shared pleasure of gypsy jazz and hot swing.
The band is made up of David Jones (guitar), Rebecca Willson (violin), Laurie Light (guitar), Yann Mahdjoub (double bass) and Nick White (clarinet). They are all accomplished musicians in their own right, but together they will get your feet tappin’.
It’s Saturday night, so let your hair down and party. There will be limited seating at this event, so there will be room to dance the night away.
